Swinging Sofas: High Flying Hanging IKEA Karlstad Furniture

Have you ever had the desire to effortlessly move your furniture to vacuum? The ease of getting all that pet hair and dust (and cheerios and legos and dog toys) without having to use attachments or neck wrenching acrobatics to free them? What if your sofas simply swung out of the way? With this simple hack they can!

In this sofa adaptation found over at IKEA Hackers, these sofas are now off the ground and ready to swing. This furniture group was created by the Smith Brothers Agency in Pittsburgh and we think it looks super fun.

Although we might vote to add caps to the end of the U Channels that keep these pieces off the ground, we're sure they've already thought of that. It could be a fun way to take advantage of exposed beams in a new loft or possibly your own basement if you're just looking for a little fun.
