T3's Readers Help Shape the Ultimate Netbook Tablet

Our friends over the pond at tech magazine T3 sent us this heads up about a project they've been working with their readers in the goal of designing the "best cutting edge smartbook/notebook", sporting a long list of features that the tech-enthused may find high on their wish list. Check out the full specs below.

The exterior case of T3's Netbook concept is spec'ed out with magnesium alloys, perforated aluminium and a carbon fiber lid, hiding an HD screen, 4 USB ports, an audio out for headphones and speakers, DVI to attach a monitor and a TV tuner. Two info bar touchstrips run along either side of the main display for two handed input, while the touch sensitive hotkeys give access to Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and touchscreen on or off, and a touch-controlled volume slider, all powered by Windows 7

For space saving reasons, the keyboard is designed as a retractable feature, and very svelte keys mimicking cell phone touchpads help keep the form factor slim. An interesting project formed by the opinions of T3's readership, we think the design needs a bit of aesthetic polishing (perhaps a case of too many cooks in the kitchen and too many ingredients in the stew). What do you think?
