Take a Photo Before Moving and Taking Apart Tech Setups

The process of moving isn't just about packing up, moving and then unpacking. It also requires setting up your home office and/or home entertainment system in a whole new space, oftentimes without the help of the instruction manuals you chucked out ages ago. We noted it helps a ton before taking apart your setup to quickly snap a few photos of how everything connects before dismantling it for moving.

Above is a photo of our overhead HD projector ceiling mount setup. It was an eBay special, so instructions reflected the budget nature of the mount, including directions that seemed copied off the walls of the Chauvet Cave. But with the quick snapshot, we've been able to put it back together here at our new apartment since unpacking, without nary an instruction manual.

And an extra bonus with snapping and saving photos of all your tech equipment would be having photographic documentation for home or renter's insurance purposes.
