A couple of weeks ago I posted about Taina Uitto and her plastic free pledge and many of you commented that you would like to formally take a pledge to also live plastic free. While we understand that living completely without plastic is impossible considering modern medical issues and other things out of our control, we can still change the amount of new plastic we choose to bring into our lives. Find out more about the challenge after the jump.

So here's the challenge:

1. Buy No New Plastic. This means that for one month you will avoid buying any product that contains new plastic.

2. Consider The Plastic You Already Live With. Take an inventory of the plastic already in your home and use this to decrease your use patterns.

3. Recycle Any Unused Plastic. If you don't use it, get rid of it the right way.

Can you do it? Will you join us?

Take the challenge and see how using no new plastic for a month impacts your life.

Tell us about how you are doing on your challenge what is easy? What is impossible to avoid?

Share your tips!
