Do you love Target? Obviously, why else would you be here? Well, you love the store, which must mean you love to shop (sorry to toss out accusations so wildly). But sometimes, we want to shop, get our items ASAP, but we don't actually want to get out of our cars. Don't worry, Target has you covered.
In this life, there is only one guarantee. That is, you are going to shop at Target and buy things you don't actually need. It doesn't matter who you are, what you're shopping for, or what you have in mind. If you go to Target, there is this hypnosis that comes over us and we find ourselves buying string lights, "because they're just $2" and that is how it begins.
But some days, we want to shop at Target, but we actually don't feel like getting out of the car. Maybe it is rainy. Maybe you're having a bad hair day. Or maybe you just need a moment to be lazy – don't feel bad, we all do.
Target has got your back! Not only do they offer same-day delivery, but they now have a drive-up service.
In 2017, Target rolled out their Drive Up service to app users and it is now available at 270 stores in eight states. When a Target user shops through their app, they can select Drive Up and it allows them to have their items literally delivered to their car window. There are even special parking spaces dedicated to the pickup option.
Currently, it seems like the option is only available in southern states like Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Texas, Louisiana, South Carolina, and Oklahoma. Surely Target will catch the wind and expand to all 50 states soon, though.
Target plans to continue the program and expand to 1,800 stores by the end of 2018. Fingers crossed the Tristate area gets added to the list ASAP!
If you don't live in a state where Target offers Drive Up, you can look into their same-day delivery program and see if you luck out there.
