Who doesn’t love a good deal? Fools, that’s who! If you’re always looking for ways to save money when you’re shopping, you’re not alone. There are so many perks and bonuses that come with having a store card, like extra savings on purchases and gift cards/cash to use for the future. But, everyone who has a Target REDCard also knows that, because you’re saving money by shopping, you also tend to buy more.

It is a habit we all must break, but it is just so hard! If this is something you do, it can actually help you save money sometimes too. Yes, spending money can help you save money. Who would have thought that was possible? There is an added perk for REDCard users when shopping for gift cards at Target, and it comes in handy if you’re planning a trip to Disney World (or Disneyland).

As you may know, having a Target REDCard means you’ll save 5% at checkout. Thanks to Reader’s Digest and author Susan Veness, we now know a great Disney World perk at Target. Did you know that also applies to gift cards? Maybe you’ve caught on at this point, this means you can purchase Disney gift cards at Target and save. It’ll pay off if you’re purchasing a lot of gift cards, or gift cards at a high dollar value. So, if you were to get a $100 Disney gift card, you’d only pay $95, or if you got a $300 gift card, you’d only pay $285. It might not seem like a lot, but Disney trips can add up fast.

If you’re wondering what saving money on a gift card has to do with saving at Disney, fear not. Did you know that Disney gift cards can be used on virtually anything Disney related? You can purchase theme park tickets with them, souvenirs in the park, on stays at Disney resorts, while shopping on Disney’s website, and of course, they can be used in the Disney stores you see in your local mall.

The best time to get these discounted Disney gift cards would be when Disney is running promotions, so you can really pack on the savings. For example, right now, Disney World has an offer (that ends soon) where guests can save up to 25% on select resorts. At Disneyland, travelers can get tickets for as low as $70/day for a 3-day pass. Can you imagine how much money you’d save overall?
