When it comes to home decor, mirrors and chairs are easily my biggest weaknesses (and anyone who’s seen my apartment will 100 percent agree). There are just so many different styles of each, and they can be statement pieces while still serving a function, so they’re a total win in my book.

But there’s something to be said for mirrors too. They’re one of my favorite things to browse for at flea markets and thrift stores, but I’ve also found some amazing options at Target over the years. The round gold mirror I had in my previous apartment was large enough to transform an empty wall and looked luxe while actually being affordable. That said, my current mirror obsession is this round wooden option that I purchased at Target last fall.

It hangs above the dresser in my bedroom, and I love how it pops against my brick wall. While I’m normally not drawn to wood tones, I really like the rustic elements of this piece. It’s also a bit smaller in size, so it’s subtle enough and doesn’t overwhelm the space. Even more impressively, it gets tons of compliments and my friends are always surprised it cost less than 50 bucks. And clearly I’m not the only one who thinks it’s awesome: the mirror has more than 200 highly positive reviews on Target’s website.

As with many Target pieces, this mirror mimics designer styles without breaking the bank. Compare it to this option or this one, both of which retail for $80 to $200 more. As much as we blame Target for taking all of our money, it’s only because they really have so much stylish, affordable stuff that it’s hard to buy just one thing.

Drawn to this mirror but unsure where you’d hang it? I personally love looking at images in the Target reviews for inspo. As you’ll see, other customers have hung these wooden mirrors in the bathroom, over patterned wallpaper, over a vanity or console table, and beyond. Some have enhanced the rustic look by adding a chain to hang it from, while others have taken advantage of the mirror’s relatively small size and grouped several together to create a wall display.

Happy styling!
