It's the holiday season and it's time to be honest. Although spending time with your family is really precious, depending on your relationship with your parents and relatives, it could get slightly maddening after a few days. This is why it's important to take some of your tech with you so that you can clear your head and not get too annoyed when your family slowly tries to drives you insane.

1. Laptop + Smartphone
While it's probably unlikely that your family hasn't got broadband Internet, it's still a possibility. That's why smartphone tethering exists to ensure that you'll be able to get online thanks to a 3G connection with your phone.

2. Music Player + Books (ebooks or real)
The holidays are here to wind down and take it easy. While checking your email is useful, we find that it's rather liberating to take a small email sabbatical, no matter how small it is. Depending on your preference, you could lug around a few books or take a Kindle/iPad with you to catch up on some reading.

3. Portable Video Game Console + Headphones
If you're a gamer, than you'll need a gaming fix. Taking along a DS with some headphones is away to relax and step away from the holiday madness. An alternative, for all you Angry Birds players, is to simply take a long some earbuds for your smartphone.

4. Camera + Laptop
Digital cameras and laptops are the perfect combinations for photographers of all levels. Depending on what kind of a photographer you are, you might want to check out the photos that you've taken immediately, or wait until you've gotten home to do this.
