Did terrariums ever go out of style? Well, if they did, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, they are officially back—thanks to all you crafters and treehuggers out there.

The article explores all kinds of terrariums and terrarium aficionados in the bay area.

Take artist Kate Geiger, for example, who sells her terrariums in local garden and design shops (she also uses recycled glass for her creations), or garden writer Tovah Martin who just released a book called The New Terrarium and Ric Lopez who sells terrariums in his store, Modernpast.

The article even has instructions on how to plant a terrarium and how to care for it. Check it out. We're inspired to try planting one next weekend.

Do you have any terrariums? Why do you like 'em?
