The 250GB Xbox 360 was revealed early today at E3 and we're pleasantly surprised by the design. The design of the new Xbox 360 has been in the works for quite some time and now we understand what was taking them so long.

The previous white Xbox 360 was much larger and fairly bulky. It wasn't good for storing away when you didn't want it to be seen and the fact that it was white, certainly didn't help. The new size is much smaller and more discreet &mdash maybe Microsoft is finally realizing not everyone wants their game consoles to jump out and grab people when they walk into the living room!

The upgrades include touch sensitive on/off switch much like the PS3, an internal harddrive that can be removed and upgraded, custom Kinect port (providing more power to the new motion sensing accessory also revealed at E3), 5 USB ports (3 in back, 2 in front (much like the PS3), and obviously the exterior is a huge upgrade.

We're surprised that Xbox chose to go the black shiny plastic route. We're assuming because the line between whether you're an Xbox or Playstation is rarely crossed and Microsoft is trying to now blur that line?

What do you think of the new design of the Xbox 360?
