The 3 Megapixel Donut Is Our New Favorite Camera

No, you haven't detoured over to our food and cooking sister site, The Kitchn, those donuts were intentionally posted up above. Look carefully and you'll soon realize the chocolate glazed treat forgoes sprinkles and nuts for a USB port and a front facing lens. Most definitely strange, yet a curiously intriguing toy sure to delight (or maybe it's just because I love donuts like my name is Homer)...

Some sample images above show off the Donut donut GEANEE camera digital camera's five color filters, a la Instagram, capable of capturing 1536 × 1536 pixels and 640 resolution video. But let's be honest, you're not carrying around a donut camera to be the next Robert Doisneau (but somehow I'd imagine Terry Richardson would be fair game for shooting with a donut). Fair enough, it's a $67 toy good for about 150 photos before needing to recharge the lithium-ion batteries inside, perfect for a silly party gift to pass around to capture festivities or to give to your kid to shoot (the donut is made of pliant PVC, so dropping it won't be a big deal)
