The Best Basics: Good, Cheap Sheet Sets

When you're setting up home, one of the things you should consider before everything else is: is my bed made? It's a drag to work all day unpacking, get to quitting time, and realize your bedding is still in boxes. If you're looking for a comfortable fix for moving day and beyond, grab some of these inexpensive, yet oh-so-cozy sheets. Sweet dreams!

Clockwise from top left:

1. Björnloka Duvet cover and pillowcases in black and white from IKEA, $49.99. Okay, so this one isn't officially a sheet set, but what's a bed without a snuggly duvet? This one is perfect for summer or fall.

2. My personal favorite: the Room Essentials Jersey Sheet Set from Target, $19.99 - $40.99. I have about ten of these sets in different (and maybe some of the same) colors. Soft, and better with each wash, these are great sheets for every day.

3. Another great "t-shirt sheet set" from Bed Bath and Beyond: the Pure Beech Jersey Knit Sheet Set, $29.99 - $79.99.

4. And for some snazzy looking threads, don't be afraid to check out the kids' shops. These Grey Diamond Sheets from Land of Nod, on sale for $69.95, are as classy as any made for adults.
