If you ever dreamed of working for the royals, well, here's your chance. The palace has listed two positions recently, and here's what you need to know.
The first position, reported last week, is a senior communications officer for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. The position is temporary, but full time, and requires the applicant to "manage the daily news flow to the media, communicating with audiences via traditional, digital and social media." They must have "extensive experience within communications, marketing or media, with a relevant degree (or equivalent qualification)."
And it's no surprise that they'll want you to have "the ability to make decisions, using integrity and judgment whilst exercising caution is also an essential requisite for the job, as is the ability to handle sensitive information with tact and discretion at all times."
The second position is for a conservation intern for the Royal Collection Trust. From January to September 2018, the intern will "gain practical experience in a wide range of conservation activities for our collection of ceramics and decorative art." Applicants should have "experience in rebuilding structural elements and have a good knowledge of how to restore some ceramics, including painted and decorative surfaces," be extremely organized, and have great attention to detail.
Applications for the communications position are due Thursday, October 26 at 11:55 pm GMT, and for the conservation intern, Sunday, October 29 at 11:55 pm GMT.
