When it comes to authentic, handmade decor, you can expect top-notch quality, unique designs—and not exactly budget-friendly prices. The Citizenry is one of our very favorite places to buy gorgeous bedding, baskets, pillows, and more, and every single product is made by artisans using only local materials. Everything is made in small batches, and you won’t find flash sales or budget prices; instead, you’ll pay a bit more but have something that’ll last forever.

Of course, taking advantage of discounts is always a good idea, which is why I’m personally shopping The Citizenry’s Annual Sample Sale. Just launched today, the sale includes discontinued favorites, one-of-a-kind samples, and still usable seconds, all discounted by up to 45 percent off. Take note, though: This is an exclusive sale to email subscribers, but you can sign up here and unlock access to the sale. And like other sample sales, everything included is final sale, so shop wisely!

Stonewashed Linen Quilt

I’m a huge fan of The Citizenry’s linen sheets, and I’ve been coveting their linen quilts for quite awhile. Made in Portugal using French flax, this olive quilt is lightweight, cozy, and a perfect finishing touch for your bed all year round. The only issue is that the quilt squares are smaller than The Citizenry’s standard measurements (3″ versus 7.5″), hence the lower price.

Mercado Hamper

Looking for a stylish alternative to your old hamper? Look no further than this handcrafted one, which is woven from locally sourced palm leaves in Guerrero, Mexico. Aside from hiding your laundry, you could also use it for toy storage or anything else you don’t want lying out. This hamper is included in the sale because it doesn’t have a lid, but is otherwise perfect.

Pampas Leather Lumbar Pillow

The Citizenry is well known for its pillows, and this gorgeous leather lumbar pillow makes it easy to see why. Made with 100% vegetable tanned leather from Argentina, it’ll make a statement on your sofa or bed, especially when paired with colorful fabric pillows. This particular pillow is slightly more brown than caramel and isn’t quite as smooth as The Citizenry’s production standards.

Vayu Dhurrie Rug

If you’re searching for a small accent rug for your bedroom or entryway, this handwoven flatweave rug might be exactly what you need. It was made by 15 master artisans in Banskho, India, and has been prewashed to make it extra soft and airy. It’s included in the sale because it’s a slightly darker pink than the others, but is still in mint condition.

Soleil Mud Cloth Pillow

Authentic mud cloth pillows are absolutely worth the investment, and this one is guaranteed to be something you’ll keep forever. Made in Segou, Mali, it’s crafted from hand-spun organic cotton and is versatile enough to go with just about anything. It has a few small dye smudges and minor imperfections, which you can check out in the images provided on the site.

This cute terrazzo vessel has been discontinued, so The Citizenry is selling the remaining stock at a lower price. Designed by ZAKKIA and handcrafted in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, it’s a perfect home for your succulents, aloe plants, or cacti. The small size and fun style make it ideal for keeping on your desk or windowsill to brighten up your space.

A modern update to traditional Moroccan poufs, this ottoman is made by hand from genuine leather in Marrakech.
