Game night in our house is something we definitely look forward to hosting. While we own only a have a handful of board games, we can understand the need for having an entire area devoted to crafts, games and activities. We spotted the Erwin's organized activity zone on Flickr and we love Christiane's small details that make the space work well for them...
Christiane mentions that their activity room is the first room folks see when they enter the house so it's important to keep it neat and organized. She's added a freestanding cabinet to house crafts and games (which can be kept behind closed doors when not in use). Because consistent craft activities can ruin a table top, Christiane's table is solid butcher block (which can be sanded and refinished as needed). The added Moe light and vintage globe add a bit of retro to the organized activity zone.
