Unless you've got quite a bit of money to spend on a Dyson vacuum cleaner, you're probably like the rest of us, using an ugly piece of machinery that you just can't wait to hide away in a closet. Thankfully, Toshiba and Electrolux teamed up to make a sweet looking, but awkwardly named vacuum cleaner that is quite affordable.

Let's face it, most vacuum cleaners are large and look extremely boring. They are utilitarian, but rarely stylish. For some reason, the Dyson vacuum cleaners appeal to lots of people. The thing is that they are quite expensive. The awkwardly named Escargot Cyclone is the result of a partnership between Toshiba and Electrolux. They teamed up to design a vacuum cleaner that you wouldn't be ashamed of. In fact, you can just have it lying around, no one will be offended or bothered.

Naturally, they used "escargot" for a reason. It's French for snail and the vacuum cleaner kind of looks like one since the hose kind of coils around the center piece. It weighs about 4.6 pounds, making it easy to carry around. It has a 50-watt suction power plant that will enable you to easily clean your pad. For now, it's available only in Japan for about $113, but you can be sure that it will be coming to the US pretty soon. [via DVice]
