The Fall Cure: Week 6

The Fall Cure: Week 6

Oct 18, 2007

Check out ajftuba/Anne (in Reno)'s rearranged bookshelf and wall art!

This week, we're taking it easy. The bulk of the work is behind us (phew!) and we can take a bit of time to congratulate ourselves on the improvements made over the past six weeks — as well as start focusing on the bathroom and lighting.

This Week's Assignment:

In the Deep Treatment, the overall theme is peacefulness. As you clean out your bathrooms, the goal is to get to the point where you're able to put some calming luxury back into them. Keep in mind Maxwell's decluttering tips: Get rid of it if you haven't used it in 12 months, it's expired, the container is almost empty, or you just don't need it anymore. (I admit, I've amassed quite a collection of toiletries from various hotels that I seriously need to purge.)

In the One-Room Remedy, take a good look at the lighting in your home. It may seem like such a simple thing, but — since it can be functional and decorative — it can make a big impact in a room. (Coincidentally, my big weekend score was a deeply discounted BTC Hector lamp for my desk.) Feel free to share your lighting dilemmas here or over on our Flickr group.

Oh, and what are people thinking about for the get-together to celebrate the end of the Cure? I came across some invites for a Tea and Cupcakes Party and now I can't shake that idea ...
