The Fantastic Bedroom Home Office

It's true that most people will frown upon having a home office or workstation setup in the bedroom, but sometimes, you just don't have the choice. You've either run out of space or you just want to have an office sanctuary away from all of the distractions in your home.

Even if you've set up the perfect home office, sometimes the kids or spouse will want a turn on the computer. Also, for students and people living in smaller places, they just don't have the choice. This great home office comes courtesy of Stallionz53, who redesigned his bedroom setup so that it includes a small workstation, that just looks perfect.

Stallionz53 used a combination of different shades of gray as well as intense lighting to make this work. He started out by redoing his hardwood floors and placing the lighting at lower heights so that it's more dramatic. Naturally, the whole workstation has a minimal feel to it, but it looks great and will suit the needs of most people.

The main issue is not to choose a desk that's too big. If you do so, you'll just transform your bedroom into another office. Also, large desks cut down on square-footage that could be used for other purposes. The whole room was renovated for about $1,000. The most expensive item was the wood for the floor. The IKEA cabinets located at the side of the room serve as storage. They also house a WiFi printer. The IKEA panels mounted on the wall are a nice decorative touch.
