The Future is Looking Good: Futures Antiques

This shop may be 3000 miles away from LA, but I felt it was necessary to blog about it because 1) it's from my hometown area in Virginia, and for that I must give this shop props because when I was growing up there, shops like this didn't really exist; 2) it has a great online shop; and 3) they give away free stuff. Seriously. FREE STUFF! And we love free. So here it is: Futures Antiques!

This photo is of owner Ronn Ives' home which, according to his Homes and Decor section, was the launching pad for his shop.

This site has a lot of helpful tips on collecting vintage 20th century pieces, and none of the inventory is "broken, worn-out, faked, poorly repaired" and are authentic in their age. Also, if you are looking to unload a truckload of mid-century pieces for a few sheckles, you can contact the owner Ronn Ives and see if he's interested. Conversely, if you have an itch for a specific piece and can't find it anywhere, call him up and he'll try to hunt it down for you.
