The Good Mod: Vintage Mid-Century Furniture

Located in Portland, Oregon, the Good Mod is one of those beautiful old loft spaces with metal shelves in the back that are stocked to the ceiling with Eames chairs, walnut credenzas, and lovely mid-century furniture.

They describe their selection as a “MASSIVE” collection of furniture from the 1920s through the 1970s. There are a few custom-made pieces thrown into the mix, and they also offer custom design, refinishing and repair services.

The store only keeps regular ‘open to the public’ hours on Saturdays from 12 to 3, but they’re open by appointment any other day. Prices are listed online, and — we love this helpful feature — estimated shipping quotes are included for each piece. (They ship across the U.S.) They update their inventory regularly and have a web ordering service where you submit a form and they contact you to process the order.
