The Statement Sofa of Your Dreams Is Now Available In Over 100 Fabrics, Starting at $1,600
Neutrals are nice and practical, but sometimes you just want something that screams, “this is me in sofa form.” That is now a real option, thanks to home furnishings startup The Inside, which announced today that it will start producing the seating staple in its range of over 100 fabrics.
The company is launching with six silhouettes, including sleepers and sectionals. Each sofa is made to order and delivered within four weeks, which is practically half the time for traditional custom furniture. The Inside uses a digital printing technique that cuts production time way down, reduces inventory waste, and limits water usage.
“As the place where decorating starts, the sofa is the centerpiece of the home — it’s highly considered, but because of the limitations faced by many retailers, often drab and uninspired,” says Christiane Lemieux, co-founder and CEO of The Inside. “Rather than have our customers settle for a decision among a sea of grey, we want to give them the ability to express and celebrate their personal style, starting with the sofa. Every item in your home should be something you love, that makes your space absolutely yours.”
Here are some of the (over 600) options to get your dream sofa mood board started:

Channel your inner Blanche Devereaux and cover as many surfaces as possible in palm prints.
While their zebra print usually gets all the attention, we’re not mad at Scalamandré’s gorgeous cheetah—very 2019 Pattern of the Year.
Not all pattern need be big and bold; sometimes a simple stripe will do. We love this SF Girl By Bay fabric on a cozy sectional.
