Let's face it, not all basements are setup as work environments, depending on how well they are finished. Some basements are just storage places, while others have been renovated as home theater rooms. Well, we really liked the idea of using a basement as a home office.
Photolingua needed to move his home office. His original room was going to be used as a nursery. He had a lot of room available in his house, the trouble was that most of that space was in the cluttered basement. He needed to turn it into an effective home office. With a little help, he managed to clear out a corner of his basement, frame a room, which has working electricity and dry walls. Some paint and a few extra touches and he was done.
What we really like is that all of the components that make up this home office are neatly tucked away. The photos he took tell a great story.
So if you've got a cluttered basement that basically serves as storage, we hope that this gives you some inspiration to renovate it a bit and to declutter it by turning it into a nice home office. Most places will just need to be cleaned up a bit to find some room.
