Here's an idea to inspire DIY reuse from Italian designer, Tommaso Guerra. If you've got a non-working SLR camera, your discarded shooter can see another life as lighting, converted into a desk or wall-mounted lamp!

You'll need to remove the inner mechanism/mirrors and run the electrical wiring through a flexible conduit and top it with a hacked camera mounting bracket, so it's not a DIY project for beginners. But imagine all the interesting pairings between old film cameras and modern and traditional lampshades!
