It seems the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA) is switching things up a little. What was previously known, for the past 28 years, as the December Sale has been recoined the InsideOut Gallery. The sale, which showcases...
...the work of hundreds of "established and emerging artists each year—including internationally known SMFA alumni and faculty, current students, and affiliated artists", began November 19th and continues through this Sunday, November 23rd. The sale "has become the largest public art sale in New England, grossing over $1.1 million in 2007" and partial proceeds go to fund SMFA scholarships.
You can find paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, and jewelry, ranging in price from below $100 to thousands of dollars. The InsideOut Gallery sale is from 12-6 pm this Saturday and Sunday. Click here to see a list of all artists, including many images of works for sale.
