The Neo Gramophone: Audio as Sculptural Artwork

The Neo Gramophone is both a throwback and step forward in one, with a polygonal minimal-modernist speaker form which hearkens back to an era of scratchy vinyl audio while actually abandoning the former medium for an updated feature of streaming audio via Bluetooth, complete with hidden subwoofer inside its horn speaker housing.

Designer Lars Amhoff describes the Neo Gramophone:

A simple subsurface menu (reacts upon touching the menu area) provides easy playing, simple usage like the traditional gramophone. Clean and perfect sound is a must today so the inside of the neo-gramophone features multiple speakers and a subwoofer with the horn as the bass-reflex tube. The Neo Gramophone is currently available as sculpture version. Price on request.

Quite stunning, though we're afraid to see what the asking price would be for such an avant-garde design.
