This collection comes from the same creative braintrust that gave us ducduc. The two lines share eco-friendly practices, endless finish options in gorgeous colors and American manufacturing, but the similarities end there. The New Traditionalists is all about classical forms brought up to the moment with bursts of color that are fully customizable. Think the Draper kids' rooms go to Candy Land.
Sustainably harvested hardwoods are hand-finished with water-based lacquers to a gorgeous effect. We are particularly smitten with the worn lacquers that allow one shade to subtly peek through another. That kind of craftsmanship and customization doesn't come cheap, and the steep price tags (starting around $1,500) will be a non-starter for most. We anticipate some hacks from creative Ohdeedoh readers, just like this ducduc hack, and will be watching The New Traditionalists for continued inspiration and eye candy.
