Karawitz Architecture has designed a beautiful new Passive House in France. Following the Passiv Haus standards, this home uses minimalist touches along with traditional lines to make an incredibly attractive and sustainable home.
Featuring site sensitive design that treats the north and south facades differently and a weathered bamboo second skin that allows for modulating airflow Karawitz Architecture has created a simple yet clever design.
PV Panels on the roof provide electricity, while a thermal mass floor is the only concrete within the entire home. Pre-fab wood panels were used on the interior for walls and other surfaces.
Careful space planning makes the spaces light filled and efficient in this modern home.
