The Red SOLO Cup Goes Fancy

The Red SOLO Cup Goes Fancy

Nothing says “party” like a red SOLO cup. But the staple of keggers everywhere has gotten a fancy upgrade so now even posh types can sip their Manhattans and Bordeaux from the red plastic classic.

Red Cup Living has a whole range of wine cups, margarita cups, and up glasses for particularly kitschy cosmopolitans. These aren’t meant to be thrown away, though. They’re made of break-resistant plastic and meant to be reusable and dishwasher safe.

The coffee mug is made of stoneware, not plastic, and that version is pretty cool. It’s like one of those hip coffee mugs that look like a paper to-go cup, except this one has a handle.

They even have the regular red SOLO cup in there. It’s just like the familiar, disposable party staple, but this one is meant to be reusable. I’m honestly not entirely sure about the utility of that one. Has anyone ever held a red SOLO cup and thought, “Man, I wish all my real-life cups looked like this"?

The 2 oz. shooter is $4, or $5 if you want one with a lanyard attached so you can wear it as a necklace. The others range from $6 to $10 apiece.

Of course, if you’re more into DIY, there’s also this video on how to turn a regular red SOLO cup into a very special wineglass.

Where would you be most likely to use your red cup stemware?
