Your Home Office Organization or Tech Tip: If you have a small space like my 450 square foot studio, things such as sprawling desks setups can easily become an unwarranted focal point. Most days, I find that all I need is my MacBook Pro and a good writing/sketching surface. When I need an more screen space, I roll out the second half of my office (hacked 2x2 bookshelf with attached casters), which I keep stored in a closet.

Generally, when I do need the Apple Cinema Display, it means I'm going to be sitting at the computer for a few hours. Instead of being fixed to a corner, this rolling setup lets me work wherever I want, meaning up against a window for better light, in front of my projector screen for entertainment, or attached to my other desk for more workroom.

In the end, it came down to visual and functional priorities. My home isn't about work, so I only let it turn into a priority when it needs to be.
