We love high quality speakers that don't consume half of our living room. Great sound is important to us, but like many urban dwellers, so is space. These new speakers from Definitive Technology promise great sound in a profile that is just as thin as our flat panel television. Great sound in a thin footprint... what's not to love?

The Mythos XTR-50 claims to be the world's thinnest high-performance on-wall home theater loudspeaker and at a mere 1.5 inches thick we are inclined to believe this claim.

Concerned that thin might mean flimsy? There is nothing flimsy about these sleek speakers as they are made of aircraft grade aluminum.

We like the thin profile of these speakers and how easy they are to mount onto the wall. At only 1.5 inches thick, we can surely find a home for them in our under 600 sq foot apartment.

Mythos XTR-50 cost $700 each.
