The Svedese Fortune Chair

Saw this chair and liked it. DWR does continue to learn new tricks (but why are they so conservative with color?).

The Svedese Fortune Chair has a solid ash frame, is undoubtedly Danish in design origin, but has an interesting back story to it. The designers, the Fratelli Tominaga, actually copied a chair they found in the kitchen of a home in Udine, Italy. Apparently 40 years old and made in Italy, they were not able to discover the designer. It then became theirs (and totally Italian).

If we had the cash, we’d buy these in light ash and have the seats and backrests redone in a nice, warm brown leather. Available at DWR for $288 each.
