Over the weekend I paid a visit to my mom's house to help clean out the garage where I still store some boxes from my days of youth. And amongst the piles of CD-Rs, DVD-Rs, Zip disks, and even a few Jaz disks, I unearthed a few remaining custom recorded cassette tapes...

Attribute it to the 80's era I grew up in, but tapes will forever hold much more fond memories than their digital equivalents, simply for the fact they required such patience and planning to put together a proper mixtape. Today's roundup is dedicated to you, ole trusty 90 minute Maxell tape, where hours of KDAY AM radio hip-hop and KNAC metal bands were recorded for listening later on the walkman....
