Livescribe and Evernote Team Up

It appears Livescribe's Smartpens (known for their digital on-the-fly transcription and audio notes) and Evernote (a note backing-up and syncing multimedia service) are teaming up. Could this possibly be the ultimate note taking experience for those digital junkies looking to get their notes up in the cloud?

This surprisingly useful collaboration makes for a very interesting approach to how we view notetaking today. While most of us are still filling out our Moleskine notebooks, we find ourselves constantly engaging in extra-long workarounds to share notes with colleagues who aren't living in the same area (scanning or taking a digital photo, uploading, and sending).

Since the technology for sticking in a USB plug to your notebook and sucking out the information hasn't exactly been developed yet, this kind of easy-capture, easy-sharing allows for avid note takers to get more mileage out of both technologies while creating a backup of everything they create in the cloud.

The new version of Livescribe Desktop App is now available as a free download for Windows and Mac.
