You'd have to be living under a rock, at least if you're up on your interior inspo game, to have not seen pictures of the super chic members-only New York club for women, The Wing.
Domino 2.0 put the original Flatiron space (and many of the #nastywomen behind it) on its cover back in winter of 2016. That branch and their newish Soho outpost have been written up on countless sites including Architectural Digest, Vogue and My Domaine (we also had the opportunity to tour it for an article on our site).
High-end architecture firm Leong Leong took care of the bones of the first space with the help of Alda Ly, who handled Soho. And both interiors were done by Chiara de Rege of CDR Interiors, who has also designed spaces for celebs like Jordana Brewster. Both spots are chock full of designer furniture and custom pieces—think LA-based Voila! sofas and Apparatus lighting—so it's hard to imagine anything "budget" or remotely approachable being part of the equation.
I've never been to either location, but I've got my sources should you be looking to steal a little bit of their ultra posh, understated glam style. Designer Nicole Gibbons, whose own super pretty, modern aesthetic would be right at home at The Wing, was there for work recently and had a little snack at the cafe...
She loved the cute light pink plate the food was served on, so she turned it over when she was done. Lo and behold, the dish was from none other than Cost Plus World Market. A Google search later, and the dishes were successfully ID-ed as part of the Blush Spinwash collection, which cost less than $30 for a set of four dinner plates and less than $25 for salad plates. And there are bowls to match, too.
It's always nice to see a space that you admire aesthetically and realize you can actually purchase something that was selected as part of its decor should you want to. And not sure about you, but I'm adding these to my World Market wish list now! Happy dining!
