We’re always inspired by the teeny-tiny spaces we get to see here on Apartment Therapy. While each one of these spaces has their own distinct style, they all have one thing in common: the people who call them home effectively utilize the space to suit their lifestyle. That’s what creating a home is all about.

We toured spaces with small, awkward floor plans that implement solutions to make entertaining a breeze, and we were inspired by collectors who displayed their tchotchkes and prized possessions without creating clutter. We toured homes packed with inherited and found pieces, plus warm and cozy vibes. And we learned how some renters successfully create unconventional vignettes we wouldn’t normally find in micro-size apartments. We loved touring every single one of these spaces, and these are some of our favorites from 2016. Check them out.
