Cute teddy bear fashioned out of leather? Ummmm, sort of. This leathery bear is actually made from placenta. You read that correctly. We found this, and other interesting things to do with your placenta over at Inhabitots.
To make the bear, the placenta needs to be cut and salt-cured, then treated with a tannin and egg mixture to make it pliable before it's made into a teddy bear. Other "fun" things on the Inhabitots list include encapsulating your placenta and ingesting it. To see what other interesting things people have done with their placenta, check out Inhabitots.
