This IKEA PAX is Hiding a Femme Wallpapered Workspace

Anyone with a crafty trade knows that hands-on projects can take up a ton of room. But Judit from Budapest shows us that you can carve out a well-organized crafty workspace—wrapping paper, buttons, paintbrushes and all—into a space the size of a wardrobe closet.

Using IKEA's PAX wardrobe unit ($189, as the starting point, Judit created this feminine home office workspace.

And how exactly do you un-boring a utilitarian piece like a closet cabinet? With an awesome print, obviously. After taking off the doors, she gave the inside "walls" of the wardrobe a lift with cool patterned wallpaper.

But this hidden office offers up a few hidden jems of its own. The adjustable shelves are set to position one as a storage shelf and the other as a laptop workspace at desk-height, extended with a thin pull-out drawer. A small stool for sitting tucks away when the doors are shut. And a white flower pot was fastened to the back "wall" of the wardrobe for storing scissors and paintbrushes.

If you're interested in seeing the whole wardrobe-to-office transformation, check out Judit's blog post (it's a Google Translate link—Judit's blog is in Hungarian).
