If you dream of going away this summer but at the moment you’re still sitting at your desk, let these photos of a tiny, perfect little Nordic getaway take you on a tiny virtual vacation.

This little holiday home, which measures only 48 square meters (or about 517 square feet), is in Brønshøj, on the outskirts of Copenhagen. The light wood floors and white-painted walls are very Scandinavian, but the abundance of plantings, including a trellis covered in wisteria and grapevines, give the feel of the French country.

A careful selection of furniture (a mix of antiques and newer pieces) keeps the small house feeling spacious, and a loft overhead provides a spot for guests to sleep when they come to visit.

The home’s owners, Kim and Lone, have created plenty of little outdoor spots for relaxing. Besides the front porch, there’s also a small conservatory, perfect for enjoying the outdoors when it’s a little chilly outside, or for dining when the couple have lots of guests. Thanks to spots like these Kim and Lone’s little house feels much larger than it really is. As soon as the weather starts to warm up in the spring they immediately head out to Brønshøj, and try to spend as much time outside as possible.
