This Week: Make The Seasonal Closet Switch

We snapped this photo on our recent visit to Chicago because it reminded us of a practice we had when we were younger. Each season when we packed up our winter accessories and apparel (which is what we did this weekend), we would slip a dollar bill in our coat pocket so it was a surprise when we pulled it back out of the closet 7 months later. Even though it was our own money, it still made us happy each and every time! Have you made the switch seasonal switch yet? Check out some closet organization tips and leave us your thoughts after the jump!

The weather in the midwest can be quite finicky, so for us, it always seems as if our winter clothes could be needed on short notice and wait until now to be packed away. It's always a great liberation from the weight that they bring to our closets and living spaces when they are about.

Even in a space that doesn't have closets per se, we still pack things up into our main storage area to lighten the load our main living area. Plus, it keeps extra dust and allergens off our winter gear during the long summer months.
