This Weekend: A Tiny Tweak to Save Your Sanity (& Boost Your Vanity)
In an ideal world, everything in your home comes together as a harmonious whole, working collectively to make you and your space look and feel the best it can. When this one thing is off, the effect is disorienting and just plain uncomfortable.
This Weekend’s Assignment: Improve your lighting situation at home, and be amazed at what a difference it makes.
Adjust Your Current Set Up: Your goal is to set up variable light: the flexibility to tone down glaring overheads that make you wide-eyed and crazy, and add just enough light just where you need it at the time. It’s about function, but also the ability to set a mood, and enhance parts of the room that you think are worth looking at. And yes, making yourself look good too when there’s no unflattering light that makes you look ghoulish 🙂 Plus, it saves electricity when you’re no longer lighting space that isn’t being used.
Upgrade What You’ve Got: Rental apartments aren’t known for crystal chandeliers and other gorgeous lighting but, if you think you can’t change your current lighting situation, you’re mistaken. Read on for some: a) smart; b) stylish; and c) super affordable ways to alter the lighting you’ve got, and feel good about it.
