This weekend, we wanted to give you a simple project that could have a big impact on the look and feel of your space, but be something easy enough you could scale to whatever size project you've got time to tackle in between entertaining family, filling up on feasts or hunting hidden eggs. Improve the look of your space by letting more light into your home by cleaning a window!
This Weekend's Assignment:
Wash a big or prominent window
Spring is here (for some of us)! Chances are you're soaking in the sights of budding trees and blooming flowers by throwing your curtains open to take in the view from your home's windows. But how's the view looking through your windowpanes? This weekend, consider tackling this simple-to-do task in a room that you might be entertaining folks in (or enjoying yourself) later. Try to choose a dirty window that really needs a cleaning or a very large, prominent one (so you can maximize your cleaning impact!).
After a season of winter-y weather, your windows might be showing the signs of dirt and grime — and taking a moment to apply a few expert swipes could be the difference between some dull light in your living room or bright light flooding in.
→ As with all of our Weekend Projects, do as little or as much as you have time to do. (And of course, choose a window that you can get to safely and comfortably — and practice safe ladder practices if you use one to reach any top panes).
And if your weekend is completely filled with plans, it's okay! You can always come back to this task (or any other ones) when you have more time.
Instagram user lesmcbeth, inspired perhaps by the grout-themed weekend, showed off how they tackled some DIY tiling!
