Throw a Green Cleaning Party!

If you and your friends are tired of the smell and cost of traditional cleaning products and you'd like to learn how to use ordinary household products like baking soda, olive oil and vinegar to clean your home — then you should check out Women's Voices for the Earth, a national environmental health organization. They've put together a virtual kit to help you host a party and make green cleaners at home...

We spotted this green cleaning party concept in the current issue of Body + Soul Magazine. Head over to the Women's Voices for the Earth website ; you can order a $20 kit that will give you everything you need to host a green cleaning party: a booklet about green cleaning, a short video that you can show at your party about the merits of making your own cleaning products, recipe cards, supply lists (so you know what to have on hand at the party), container labels for the products your guests make, and an educational facts sheets.

A green cleaning party sounds like a lovely way to spend a few hours with friends, improve your health, reduce your carbon footprint, and save some money.
