TIME's 100 Greatest Toys

TIME's 100 Greatest Toys

Wondering what the 100 most influential toys from 1923 to the present are? TIME Magazine reporter Allie Townsend compiled a list beginning with the Radio Flyer and organized by decade. Did your favorites make the list?

It's interesting to peruse the list and find that items we take for granted today like finger paint or bubble solution actually had an entrance into the toy world. It's also neat to see things like Mr. Potato Head, Colorforms, and Play-dough that are still a big hit in our house.

Barbie and Ken made the list, as did the Easybake Oven and Cabbage Patch Kids. We could do without "fake vomit" and the Slap Bracelet, but altogether, a fairly comprehensive list and a good resource for classic toys with staying power.

You can find the complete list here.
