The only thing better than your standard tiny house is one that floats.

Such is the case with Heidi-Ho, a 30-foot-long pontoon boat topped with a cargo-trailer cabin. Built by Scott Cronk of F&S Houseboats in March 2019, the charming, multi-purpose residence is constructed with pontoon logs and is equipped with a Suzuki outboard engine with 115 HP.

Inside, there’s a full kitchen with 3-burner range and oven, a refrigerator and a removable dinette. There’s a screened-in sleeping area that includes a full bed and drop-down bunk to accommodate three guests, a closet, a shower, a composting toilet and a spacious deck complete with DeckMate lounge chairs. The house also utilizes a 175W solar panel as an eco-friendly power source.

As if life on a boat isn’t entertaining enough, Heidi-Ho guarantees a good time with the assistance of its various accessories, including a digital antenna, a stereo system with ceiling speakers, and a swim ladder for water activities.

In the event that its occupants want to move to solid ground, the easily transportable boat has an 11.5 foot-wide deck that can be condensed down to 8.5 feet for traveling purposes; additionally, the cabin detaches from the boat and can serve as a road trailer.

“After wildfires in the Fall of 2017, I sold my home in Santa Rosa, Northern California, and moved to the Palm Springs area, Southern California,” Scott told Houseboat Magazine of his beloved tiny home. “This houseboat is a way for me to spend my summers visiting friends in Northern California.”

Currently, Scott berths Heidi-Ho at Katherine Landing Marina on Arizona’s Lake Mohave. The asking price is $64,000.
