Tour Dozens of Unique Small Spaces at These Tiny House Festivals
We don’t know about you, but we have a serious obsession with tiny houses. Whether a 300-square-foot RV or a 400-square-foot houseboat, it’s strangely fascinating to see the clever design and storage hacks people come up with to maximize their small spaces. Which is why we’re thrilled to learn that tiny house festivals exist—and that one of them is happening this weekend.
If you live in or around Kansas City, make your way to TinyFest Midwest on June 8th and 9th to tour unique, one-of-a-kind tiny houses and meet the builders behind them. TinyFest Midwest will feature over 25 tiny homes including backyard cottages, vans, campers, school buses, and shipping container homes—and some of them will even be for sale.
We’re especially intrigued by the TinyFest Midwest workshops, which include “Fermentation on the Road,” “Tiny Bottles, Big Solutions,” “Tiny Home Renewable Energy Solutions,” and “Designing with Tiny in Mind.” There will also be speaker presentations, food trucks, vendors, and live music.
If you can’t make TinyFest Midwest, don’t worry—there are more events to come. TinyFest NorthWest will take place just outside of Salem, Oregon on August 17th and 18th, and TinyFest California will take place in late fall.
Even if tiny house living isn’t for you, it’s still fun to see how people design their small spaces and to daydream about how you’d live in a tiny house of your own. See you at TinyFest!
