This Tiny House Has a Ton of Super Smart Storage
Here’s even more proof that small spaces can still pack a ton of style. What Modern Tiny Living’s latest design lacks in size, it more than makes up for in sleek, space-maximizing design elements.
The tiny home on wheels known as the Clover is 24 feet long and 8.5 feet wide. Poplar wood lines the walls and ceiling of the bright, open interior. The home contains vinyl flooring, concrete countertops and a gourmet kitchen with custom cabinetry, a dining bar, a refrigerator/freezer, a four-burner stove top with over-the-range hood, a convection oven and a washer/dryer combo.
The designers came up with a most creative way to layout the living room by giving the slightly-elevated 236 square-foot social space a U-shape. In addition to sleeping accommodations offered by a large king loft, the living area is outfitted with a fold-out sofa that comfortably sleeps two. The home comes with a customizable full bathroom that includes a fiberglass shower, a custom barn door a flush toilet and open shelving.
The Clover also features plenty of genius storage options throughout, such as the staircase with built-in storage, built-in benches with drawers, built-in bookcases and the storage area beneath the living space.
Three-inch spray foam insulation for the walls, ceiling and trailer plus a through the wall heater/AC unit helps to keep the tiny space comfortable. Additional options include an electric tankless water heater and a 30 amp service. The Clover is suitable for full-time living or for those who prefer to reserve it for traveling.
Modern Tiny Living lists the Clover model at $89,000, but also notes that the final price of each home depends on personal specifications such as appliances, finishes, materials and customized requests.
