Lately, I've been thinking a lot about small space living. Our dreams of owning a house may be just out of reach, so we've been renovating and making the best of our small one-bedroom in Queen Anne. In Seattle, craftsman homes are the small family norm, but we've been taking a page out of the New Yorkers' guidebook on how to live a stylish life in a small space.

Recently, Erin Boyle, of Reading My Tea Leaves and Gardenista, shared her secrets for living with her husband in a 240-square foot studio with loft on A Cup of Jo. Her fifteen tips for small space living are definitely inspiring. They include removing closet doors and saying no to overnight guests (my personal favorite!).

It's inspiring to see a couple that is living with less and doing it so stylishly! Click over to A Cup of Jo for the rest of Erin's tips, and share your favorite ideas for living in a small space with us in the comment section!

P.S. If Erin and James's place looks a bit familiar, it could be because they were part of our Small Cool Contest in 2012. Click over to Erin and James' small cool entry to see even more of their beautiful and very tiny home.
