Trader Joe’s Will Have an Advent Calendar for Dogs
In the second season of their podcast, Inside Trader Joe’s, employees of the popular grocer gave shoppers a glimpse into the fun goodies that will be hitting the shelves for the upcoming holiday season. In addition to the more conventional new items like Boozy Cheese and Organic Cold-Pressed Spiced Cider, you can expect a fun new addition for the four-legged members of the family; an advent calendar for dogs.
There’s no word on whether the calendar will be 12 or 24 days in length, but according to Delish, we do know that each day comes with a treat for your fur baby on the days leading up to Christmas. One person who’s advocating for the new arrival is the President of Stores, Jon Basalone. The two-time doggie-dad told the podcast that the advent dog calendar will be a huge hit amongst Joe’s shoppers.
Luckily though, the fun doesn’t stop there. Employees told Inside Trader Joe’s that we can expect between 150 and 200 new products this season and they’re all to die for. I mean, who can resist Bûche de Noël Ice Cream?
Returning to the shelves are crowd favorite—and my personal obsession—hot chocolate on a spoon, along with Turkey Gravy, Camembert and Cranberry Fillo Bites, bacon wrapped scallops, pumpkin spiced pumpkin seeds, and more.
While there isn’t an official release date for the advent calendar, keep your eye out, as it’ll probably hit the stores before you can blink.
