Transform Everything You Own with the Magic of Flower Bombing
It’s summer, and flowers are suddenly appearing everywhere, not just in nature, but also in DIY projects all over the internet. Flower bombing — covering things in faux (or real!) flowers, is the latest trend, and it’s a great way to get a huge impact while spending not a lot of money. Read on to find out how you can transform pretty much anything own with the magic of flowers.

Feeling inspired by: this incredible flower-covered coat, spotted on the streets of Paris.
And further inspiration: Walls covered in flowers at Dior’s Autumn/Winter 2012 show. Fabulous, yes, but also very expensive. But don’t you just want to lay your face on it?

Not a DIY, but a roof covered in flowers from Paris teahouse Lily of the Valley, spotted on Yellowtrace. If you’re feeling inspired to create something like this (maybe in a small space like an entryway), I would recommend covering the ceiling in a layer of foam first, and then sticking the faux flowers into the foam. And then sending us pictures.
Here’s a clever and somewhat cheeky idea: adding faux flowers to a floral painting, for just a little extra texture. Image from Scarlet Plan + Design.

I’m not gonna lie — my very favorite flower bombing project is this Christmas tree from Design Love Fest, whose flower-adorned boughs are not quite like anything I’ve ever seen before. What better way to express the magic of Christmas, which in its essence is a holiday about hope and the renewal of life? Definitely save this one for December, or for sooner — we won’t judge.
