We made a trip to the Container Store this weekend for shelf liner and a new silverware tray. While we were there, we stopped to check out the trash cans, since they carry most of our favorites: SimpleHuman Fingerprint-Proof Trash Cans, Umbra's Artala Trash Cans, and the Umbra Metallica Cans. Although we've been dreaming of a SimpleHuman kitchen can for a while, we're thinking of going for the White Big Bin instead...

In this photo, the White Big Bins are on the right end of the front shelf. The tall, rectangular shape will fit perfectly in the narrow space next to our refrigerator, and we like the self-closing doors on top. The 15-gallon model is $69 - not cheap, but less expensive than the 10-gallon SimpleHuman models that start at $99. We also like the glossy white finish, which fits in better with our kitchen color plan than the silver SimpleHuman model.

Any first-hand reviews of the Big Bins?
